Migraine Tracker is provided by Erised Development Ltd. We keep your migraine log private and make usage analytics optional. The analytics described below is available from version 1.1; version 1.0 does not include analytics.
Your migraine entries, symptoms, triggers, medication, notes, sleep readings and recorded weather context stay on your device and, when Premium iCloud sync is enabled, in your private iCloud account. We cannot access your private iCloud log. This information is not sent to our analytics service.
If you choose to share usage analytics, we use PostHog EU Cloud to understand how the app works and improve it. Analytics is off until you enable it. You can turn it off at any time in You → Usage analytics.
We collect app opens, screen visits, Premium plan selections and purchase outcomes, restore outcomes, export-button usage, and weather connection successes or general failure categories. Events include an app-generated random identifier, session identifier, timestamp, app version and operating-system version. These identifiers let us measure repeat usage without asking for your name, email address or an account.
We do not send migraine entry creation times, entry contents, health measurements, coordinates, weather readings or text entered in the app. We do not record screens, collect advertising identifiers or use automatic interaction capture. IP-based location enrichment is disabled, and the app replaces the event IP field with a non-identifying placeholder. PostHog necessarily receives a network connection when events are delivered.
PostHog processes analytics on our behalf in its EU Cloud. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising tracking. Turning analytics off stops new collection; it does not automatically delete previously received events. For privacy or deletion requests, contact us below. Because the app uses a random identifier, we may need your help to locate analytics associated with your installation. We retain analytics only as needed to understand and improve the app.
With your permission, the app reads recent sleep data to add context to your migraine log. This data is used on your device and is not included in analytics. Sleep context saved in your log may sync to your private iCloud account if you enable Premium iCloud sync. You can revoke Health access in iOS Settings or the Health app.
When you enable Weather, the app requests your location while in use to fetch conditions from Apple Weather. Approximate location is sufficient. Coordinates are not saved in migraine entries or sent to PostHog. Temperature and pressure can be saved with an entry on your device and in your private iCloud account. You can turn Weather off in the app or revoke location access in iOS Settings.
Apple processes subscription payments. We do not receive your payment-card details. If analytics is enabled, the app sends the selected Premium plan and general purchase or restore outcome to PostHog. When you export your history, you choose where to save or share the file; it may contain sensitive health information.
